Regina police charge man with 2nd-degree murder
Police identify victim as Rodney Dale Sanheim, 57
Regina police have charged a man with second-degree murder in connection with the weekend death of a man at an apartment west of downtown.
Officers found the body of Rodney Dale Sanheim, of Regina, 57, Sunday morning at an apartment on the 2900 block of Victoria Ave.
They had been called to the home at 9:14 a.m. CST about an assault with a weapon
They arrested Ronald James Ozipko, 43, and later charged him.
Police said it's the city's second homicide of 2013.
Two other men were at the scene: one 66, who was unharmed, and the second 44, who suffered injuries and was treated in hospital and released.
In addition to the murder charge, Ozipko has also been charged with two counts of attempted murder.
He appeared briefly in provincial court Monday and has been remanded in custody. He'll be back in court on March 20.
