Regina gets a red-eye flight to Toronto

Air Canada is adding a 1:45 a.m. CST red-eye flight from Regina to Toronto, starting Tuesday. WestJet is adding an early morning (6:35 a.m.) flight from Regina to Edmonton.

New flights start this week

New flights have been added to the schedule for Regina to Toronto and Regina to Edmonton. (CBC)

Additional early-hour flights are being added to the schedules of Air Canada and WestJet for flights from Regina to Toronto and Edmonton.

  • Air Canada is adding a 1:45 a.m. CST red-eye flight from Regina to Toronto.
  • WestJet is adding a 6:35 a.m. flight from Regina to Edmonton.

The Air Canada flights will operate Mondays through Saturdays, until Aug. 1, and were set to begin Tuesday morning.

WestJet will be offering a daily morning flight to Edmonton starting on June 5.

"Both of these flights support the demand and growing number of Regina and southern Saskatchewan business and leisure travelers," Richmond Graham, the president and CEO of Regina Airport Authority, said in a news release. "We are delighted to have additional options to better serve our passenger's needs."

The Regina airport added that work continues on a remodel of its restaurant and retail shopping areas and noted there is a 24-hour sandwich shop in the check-in hall.
