Prince cancels Saskatoon concert
Legendary funk-rocker Prince will not be coming to Saskatoon after all, as a concert slated for next month has been cancelled.
Officials with Saskatoon's Credit Union Centre have confirmed that Prince's Dec. 11 performance won't be happening.
The cancellation is posted on Ticketmaster's website.
The Saskatoon stop, announced in October, was part of Prince's coast-to-coast Welcome 2 Canada tour.
Scott Ford, the Credit Union Centre's director of marketing and events, told CBC News on Monday that a scheduling conflict on Prince's end was to blame.
Ticket sales for the Saskatoon concert had been brisk, Ford said.
