Man found dead in vehicle submerged in slough after accident

RCMP say a man was found dead in a vehicle following an apparent accident that led to the vehicle being submerged in a slough Monday.

RCMP say a man was found dead in a vehicle following an apparent accident that led to the vehicle being submerged in a slough Monday.

The man was found around 8:30 a.m. CST in a body of water about three kilometres west of Melfort, Sask., according to RCMP.

Officers at the scene, with the assistance of the Melfort fire department  were able to retrieve the body.

They said his family was being notified and did not provide any further details on the man's identity, age or home town.

They said their investigation was continuing, with help from the Provincial Coroner's Office.
