LTE cellular service has been added to 146 towers serving rural areas and communities in Saskatchewan.

SaskTel announced on Monday upgrades to towers in southwest and southern parts of the province were complete, adding that 92 per cent of the province will now have LTE coverage.

It said full coverage to the rest of the province is expected to be completed by April.

LTE brings data speeds that are 10 times faster than 3G.
