Helen Oro

From the bear-Cree clan on her father's side and from the Pelican Lake First Nation, her spark of entrepreneurship came shortly after completing her aesthetics program and opening up her own nail studio in Chitek Lake.
Shortly after, Helen was asked to become the beauty/fashion editor for Native Max. With the new title, she was able to have many young talented Canadians featured.
Helen is also a beader, her work quickly got the attention of many producers to different fashion weeks and events. Invites started to come in and Helen found herself Showcasing her work in Couture Fashion Week New York, was a participant for In the City Fashion Show Denver Co., was a selected designer for the Virgin Fashion Festival Melbourne Australia and a participant for the Indigenous Runway Project New Zealand.
Many more fashion festivals across the states and Canada. She enrolled in Praxis School of Entrepreneurship to her business.
