Saskatchewan's Great Plains College says it is reducing rates for its safety training courses in response to the ailing economy.
The college, which has campuses around the province, runs safety training programs for industry.
Starting March 1, it's cutting prices by 15 per cent.
Here are the courses that run from March 1 to June 30:
- H2S Alive
- Confined Space
- Fall Protection General
- First Aid/CPR (includes recertification)
- Global Ground Disturbance
- Fit Testing
- Fall Protection for Rig Work
- Fall Rescue for Rig Work
- Coil Tubing Blow Out Prevention
Currently, the courses cost anywhere between $58 and $435.
With the cut, for example, the Confined Space course will go from $198 to $173, a saving of $25.
