Two people who were accused of a dine and dash episode in Regina have been located and have settled their bill, according to Golf's Steak House.

"We would like to inform everyone that the dine-and-dash couple has been found," the company said in a posting on Facebook Thursday night.

According to the posting, the couple was spotted at another Regina restaurant, a Smitty's at the Golden Mile mall. That restaurant called the police.

"The Regina Police Service picked up the couple and brought them to Golf's Steak House to settle their bill," Golf's Steak House said. "We chose to not file a police report against the young couple because it was not about the money. It is about the principle."

The restaurant noted that news coverage of the situation, and social media, led to a satisfactory outcome.

"We were able to solve the issue peacefully," the company said. "Everyone's support was phenomenal."
