Fire engulfs Regina house

A house in Regina's General Hospital neighbourhood went up in flames Tuesday night.

Officials are calling a fire that consumed a home in Regina's General Hospital neighbourhood Tuesday night, suspicious.

Flames were shooting from windows even as fire crews arrived on the scene at Osler Street near 13th Avenue around 8:30 p.m. CST.

People in the area told CBC News the home did not seem to have regular occupants and it was unclear if there was anyone in the building. Another person said the building had been boarded up for some time.

Fire officials said this was the second fire at the home this month.

Police confirmed Wednesday morning that no one had been found inside, and there were no injuries.

Arson investigators are looking into what may have caused the fire.
