Fire destroys two cabins, damages a third

Fire investigators are trying to determine the cause of a massive blaze at a lake 35 kilometres north of North Battleford, Sask., that destroyed two cabins and damaged a third.

RCMP said they were called to the fire at the Delorme Beach area of Jackfish Lake shortly before 10:30 p.m. CST on Tuesday.

At that point the fire had engulfed one cabin and was spreading to others along the shoreline. By the time firefighters were able to bring it under control it had destroyed two cabins and caused substantial damage to a third.

Police said the amount of the damage has yet to be determined.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
