COVID-19 in Sask: 2 new cases Friday, 61 total active cases

Saskatchewan has reported 641 known COVID-19 cases, with 570 people having recovered, according to a graphic posted on the provincial government's website Friday. (NIAID Integrated Research Facility/Reuters)

Two new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Saskatchewan on Friday — one in the south, while the other is in Saskatoon.

There are now 61 active cases in the province. Four people are in hospital, including two in intensive care. 

Two more people have also recovered, bringing the recovery total in Saskatchewan to 570 people. So far, 10 people have died in Saskatchewan from COVID-19.

To date, Saskatchewan has performed 46,454 tests for COVID-19.

The provincial government did not hold a COVID-19 news conference on Friday.
