CBC is a proud sponsor of passion2action's INSPIRE 2021 event
Check out the May 20th event for a virtual evening that will leave you feeling inspired
CBC Saskatchewan is proud to sponsor this year's INSPIRE event.
Passion2action is a youth-led non-profit that is committed to empowering Saskatchewan's future leaders. INSPIRE is their signature project, and aims to empower youth throughout Southern Saskatchewan to realize their potential to make real and lasting change.
The event includes presentations and performances by and for young people. It gives people an opportunity to find and relate to a new local role model who could inspire them to lead in turn.
"Our ultimate goal with INSPIRE is to introduce young people to some incredible individuals who, while you may not recognize their names, are making a difference every day in our communities," said Jonah Toth, founder and executive director of passion2action.
"We hope that these local stories encourage young people across the province to reconnect with their communities and take action on their passions."
The lineup this year includes a range of diverse presenters from across Saskatchewan. This includes Humboldt Broncos bus crash survivor Kaleb Dahlgren, Judy Wani of Black in Sask, and the Hunter Brothers music group.
"Perhaps what I'm most proud of is the fact that the entirety of passion2action INSPIRE 2021 has been organized by a team of exceptional young people under the age of twenty-four," said Toth. "From the onboarding of speakers and performers to all the video production, everything has been driven by the passions and talents of an incredible team of Saskatchewan youth."
This year's INSPIRE event is taking place entirely online. The livestream takes place Thursday, May 20 at 7 p.m.
