Cocaine, cash, rifles seized in Regina raid

Police in Regina have laid more than a dozen drug and weapon charges against a man and a woman after seizing cocaine, cash and assault rifles.

Police in Regina have laid more than a dozen drug and weapon charges against a man and a woman after seizing cocaine, cash and assault rifles.

On Sunday, police executed search warrants at apartments on the 2100 block of Rae St. and the 2900 block of 14th Ave.

Seized was:

  •  3 loaded assault rifles.
  • 500 rounds of ammunition.
  • 330 grams of cocaine.
  • 11 grams of cannabis.
  • $11,700 in cash.

Two Regina residents, a man, 26, and a woman, 23, made their first appearance in court on Monday.

In total there are 30 charges, including possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of restricted weapons and posession of an oversized ammunition magazine for one of those weapons.

The man was the subject of eight outstanding warrants, including drug charges and breaches, the police said.
