"My focus will be to engage people on issues such as housing, healthcare and building sustainable futures for our urban, rural and First Nation communities," he said.

The Regina-Qu'Appelle riding is currently held by Conservative Andrew Scheer.

Prior to Scheer, the riding had been represented by the NDP's Lorne Nystrom and Simon De Jong.
