Bear takes nap on SaskPower pole

A black bear took a nap on a 10-metre power pole near Shellbrook, Sask.

The bear came down safely on its own

A bear chose an unusual place to take a power nap last Friday.

Crews found a black bear taking a nap on top of a power pole near Shellbrook, Sask., about 150 kilometres north of Saskatoon.

The crew was worried about how to bring the bear down without hurting it, or causing a power outage, but it ended up climbing down all on its own.

But only after a quick snooze.
