Arson suspected after house fire in North Central Regina

Arson is suspected following a fire in a home on the 900 Block of Rae Street in Regina Thursday morning, according to officials from the fire department.

Officials say no one was hurt

Arson is the suspected cause of a fire at a home on the 900 Block of Rae Street in Regina Thursday morning, officials say.

Fire crews were dispatched to 919 Rae St. at 10:15 a.m. CST and had things under control within 15 minutes.

Officials said it was a small fire at the front entrance of a two-storey home and damage was estimated at $60,000 to $80,000.

There were no injuries in the fire, crews at the scene noted no one was in the home at the time.

After determining the fire was deliberately set, the fire department handed the investigation over to police.
