Arson charge laid against Regina boy, 15

A 15-year-old Regina boy has been charged with arson in connection with a March 10 apartment fire that caused $80,000 worth of damage.

A 15-year-old Regina boy has been charged with arson in connection with a March 10 apartment fire that caused $80,000 worth of damage.

Tenants were evacuated from the apartment building on the 2800 block of Parliament Ave. after fire broke out on the top floor around 10:30 p.m. CST. No one was injured.

After investigating and interviewing witnesses, Regina police arrested the teenaged boy on March 16.

He made his first appearance in Youth Court Monday charged with arson and failing to comply with release conditions.

Under provisions of the Youth Crimimal Justice Act, the boy's name can't be made public.
