Alcohol involved in fatal motorbike crash, RCMP says

It's believed alcohol and speed were factors in a fatal motorycle crash near Moose Jaw, Sask., on the weekend, the RCMP says.

It's believed alcohol and speed were factors in a fatal motorycle crash near Moose Jaw, Sask., on the weekend, the RCMP says.

The crash happened at around 5:30 p.m. Saturday about two kilometres north of Buffalo Pound Lake.

The victim has been identified as Colin Shepherd, 55, of Moose Jaw.

The RCMP said Shepherd was heading south on Highway 2 with a group of riders when his bike left the highway and went into the ditch.

Shepherd was pronounced dead at the scene.

An RCMP collision reconstructionist was called in to assist with the investigation.
