Environment Canada issued a special air quality statement for areas in western Saskatchewan on Saturday night.

Air pollution is elevated due to forest fires in the United States. Conditions are expected to clear up into Sunday morning as a cold front sweeps across the province.

Environment Canada recommends people with breathing difficulties stay indoors.
