Sale and Pelletier retire, skating judge suspended

Jamie Sale and David Pelletier are going pro.

The Canadian figure skaters who swapped silver medals for gold at the Salt Lake Olympics announced their retirement Tuesday.

Meanwhile, two people involved in the controversial decision to give the skaters a second place finish have been suspended for three years.

Judge Marie-Reine Le Gougne and French skating head Didier Gailhaguet are also banned from the 2006 Winter Games.
