St. Dunstan's Basilica statue damaged

Charlottetown police are investigating after the staff was stolen from a statue in front of St. Dunstan's Basilica.

Charlottetown police are investigating after the staff was stolen from a statue in front of St. Dunstan's Basilica.

Police say they received a report at 3 a.m. Saturday morning that the statue of Bishop Angus Bernard MacEachern on Great George Street had been damaged.

Police say vandals apparently took the staff and ran off on foot.

Anyone with information is asked to call Charlottetown police or P.E.I. Crime Stoppers.
