Refugee donation centre to open in Charlottetown Tuesday
'It will be a really great opportunity to support Syrian families'
A provincial donation centre opens tomorrow to help Syrian refugee families who will soon arrive on P.E.I.

It is being coordinated by the Welcome Project and will be set up at 1 Queen Street, which is the old Coast Guard warehouse across from the Delta Hotel.
"We will be accepting a very wide variety of donations: everything from furniture and household items like kitchenware and lamps, winter outerwear and footwear for adults and children, new toiletries, gift cards for groceries and household goods, school supplies, toys, arts and crafts," said Welcome Project co-ordinator Hannah Jones.
"So it will be a really great opportunity to support Syrian families."
The donation centre will be open on Tuesdays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

She notes calls and offers of help continue to come in to the Welcome Project.
