Northumberland Ferries is resuming its normal schedule between Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia.

The ferry didn't leave from Wood Islands, P.E.I., for its 6:30 a.m. crossing to Caribou, N.S. due to mechanical problems, company officials said.

The ferries are returning to their regular schedule with a crossing leaving Caribou at 11:15 a.m.
