Mount Pleasant fire under RCMP investigation

P.E.I.'s fire marshal is asking the RCMP to investigate a fire at a vacant house in Mount Pleasant Saturday night.

Fire Marshal David Rossiter completed his investigation and turned the file over to the East Prince RCMP for criminal investigation.

Five fire departments worked to put out the fire at the vacant home near Enmore Road

One firefighter from Tyne Valley had to be taken to hospital with smoke inhalation and exhaustion. He was later released.
