Man found dead on Confederation Trail
A 60-year-old man was found dead on the Confederation Trail in Charlottetown Thursday morning, say police.
The man, from Charlottetown, was found by a passerby at around 8 a.m on a section between Allen Street and the Experimental Farm, Deputy Police Chief Gary McGuigan said.
Police do not suspect foul play, he said, and there is no need for users of the trail to be alarmed.
"The body has been removed to the QEH where an autopsy will be performed. At this point in the investigation, police do not suspect any foul play," McGuigan said.
The man has been identified, but his name is not being released until his family is contacted.
Police say they will likely have more information about the cause of death Friday.
