Did you spend a lot of time in the garden this summer? If so, you're not alone. From Nova Scotia to Saskatoon, the COVID-19 pandemic has prompted many Canadians to dust off their green thumbs and get their hands dirty. We want to see your sprouts, your blooms, and your vines.

Contest Closed: #RootedHere

All summer long, @CBC_EastCoast mailed out wildflower seed packets to local Instagrammers who tagged their photos #RootedHere all summer long. Check out some of those beautiful photos in the gallery below.

Congratulations to Meg, Diedre, Shannon, and Stephanie. They were the winners of the four summer gardening prize packs. Each pack included a few seed packets, a local gardening book, and a beautiful canvas tote bag with the Rooted Here design by Nova Scotia artist Kristen De Palma.

Whether you shared a peak at your thriving backyard veggie garden, the lone geranium on your balcony, or a beloved corner of a community garden, we loved seeing your verdant corner of the East Coast. Thank you to everyone who participated!

As of 3:00 p.m. AT on Wednesday, August 26, 2020, the #RootedHere contest is closed. CBC Rooted Here seed packets and other prizes were awarded weekly from June 29 through August 26, 2020, by random draw. Click here to view contest rules.
