There was never much danger of a speeding ticket, but you can bet there were still plenty of bumps along the way.
Urs Koch and his daughter Claudine took a cross-Canada road trip from eastern Ontario to Kelowna, B.C. to pick up a vintage tractor bought sight unseen on Kijiji — but the real adventure began on the slow motion drive back.
It took the father-daughter duo 17 days to get back to the family farm in Alfred and Plantagenet, Ont., taking turns driving the open cab Deutz tractor that travels at a top speed of 30 km/hr.
The pair left Kelowna at 2:30 p.m. on July 30th, with dad driving the tractor and daughter behind the wheel of a VW Touareg. They arrived at the family farm in eastern Ontario just before 5 a.m. on Aug. 16.
