Ottawa police are investigating after someone shot at a person from inside a vehicle near Rideau Street and King Edward Avenue Friday afternoon.

At around 5:10 p.m., a group of males got into an altercation with another male — which then turned into an argument in a Rideau Street parking lot, Ottawa Police Service said in a media release.

The group then got into a white sedan, and before the car sped away on Rideau Street, someone fired a single shot from inside the car at the lone male.

Police said no one was hurt and that the public is likely not at risk. They are now searching for multiple suspects.
