Police in Kingston, Ont., say foul play is not suspected in the death of a U.S. student found outside a Queen's University residence Monday morning.
The body of first-year student Cameron Bruce, 18, of Westport, Conn., was discovered by fellow students.
John Dodig, principal of Westport's Staples High School, called the death of the former Staples student "a terrible tragedy," in a report on the website westportnow.com.
Bruce was described as a popular pupil who played trumpet in his high school band and swam competitively.
Around the Queen's campus, flags were lowered in his memory.
In a release, the university administration called the death a shock for everyone and said, "Our hearts and thoughts are with the student's family and friends."
