Police trick Ottawa man for child luring
An Ottawa man faces two charges for exposing himself on a webcam to police disguised as a 14-year-old.
Ottawa police's internet child exploitation unit arrested the 45-year-old man Nov. 10 in a public area in the city's east end. The accused believed he was communicating online with a teenager.
Police said the man had exposed himself on web cam and he was arrested in the public area where he thought he was meeting the teen for a "sexual purpose."
Police also executed a search warrant at his home Nov. 11 where they found four computers and a large amount of media, but would not say if this was child pornography.
The man is charged with two counts of child luring involving exposure to a minor and invitation to sexual touching.
The accused appeared in court the same day and remains in custody.
