Ottawa police are searching for at least one suspect after a stolen vehicle smashed through a police roadblock, damaging three vehicles.

Police said officers tried to stop the vehicle near Kirkwood Avenue around 10:40 p.m. Thursday by "manoeuvring" their patrol cars to contain it.

But the driver drove right through the three police cars and accelerated away at a high speed.

Police pursued the car for a short time, but ended the chase for safety reasons because the stolen vehicle continued to drive above the speed limit.

Nobody was hurt in the pursuit, according to police, and all three cruisers suffered some damage.

Police are now trying to locate a brown 1998 Chrysler Intrepid with the Ontario licence plate ADAF201.

Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at 613-233-8477.
