A minor is expected to appear in court today to face charges of accessing and possessing child pornography after a police raid at a home in Ottawa's Beacon Hill neighbourhood.
In August 2015, the RCMP's National Child Exploitation Co-ordination Centre told Ottawa police that someone using an Ottawa IP address made 34 uploads of child pornography from a website based in California.
On Thursday, Ottawa police searched a home in Beacon Hill. Several computers and other items were seized for analysis, police said in a media release.
The youth, who cannot be identified because minors are protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, was charged with possessing and accessing child pornography.
