Change is in the air.

Nothing lasts forever, especially a string of days like we just had.

Gone is the sunny pleasant stretch we have had, to be replaced by a more unsettled pattern and increased humidity at times.

Expect to wake up to rain today, which should continue through much of the morning.

It could last longer in Ottawa-Gatineau if the weather wheel stops on the 30 per cent chance of afternoon showers. Closer to Kingston, it's expected to be all wrapped up by noon.

There is a risk of a thunderstorm for the region and after all is said and done, 20 to 30 millimetres of rain could fall on the capital.

The high today will hit 26 C, with humidity making it feel like 31.

There's a 30 per cent chance of rain and thunderstorms tomorrow.

At least the cold of this past spring is behind us.

The humidity will certainly increase at times this week — it could make it feel like 33 tomorrow — but it won't be too oppressive, just more noticeable.
