We have another rainy, windy day in store after 36 millimetres of rain fell Thursday, setting a rainfall record for April 6.

Friday's forecast calls for periods of rain or snow as the temperature sits just above the freezing mark through most of the day. Flooding concerns continue as a result.

There's also a northwest wind gusting from 30 to 50 kilometres per hour with a high of 4 C.

This evening should bring an end to the snow and/or rain as the northwest wind continues to gust from 30 to 50 km/h. The low will be –4 C.

Thankfully, the weekend arrives to rescue spring. Saturday should be mainly sunny with a northwest wind gusting from 20 to 40 km/h and a high of 8 C.

Sunday will be even warmer with a high of 10 C, but also cloudy with a 30 per cent chance of showers.

Monday and Tuesday have similar forecasts but the temperature will continue to rise.

Monday's high is 16 C and Tuesday has a high of 20 C —  yes, you're reading this correctly.
