Man in stable condition after Ottawa's 60th shooting of 2016

A 21-year-old man was dropped off at the Ottawa Hospital's Civic campus after being shot in Centretown late Friday afternoon, police said.

A 21-year-old man was dropped off at the Ottawa Hospital's Civic campus after being shot in Centretown late Friday afternoon, police said.

Officers were called to the hospital at around 5:45 p.m.

Police said the shooting happened in the 400-block of Catherine Street. The man is in stable condition.

This marks the city's 60th shooting of 2016, including 10 fatal shootings, as well as shootings involving injuries and shots fired with no injuries reported.
