OPP seek missing Ontario man

Police are asking for help in locating a man missing from his home near Smiths Falls, Ont., since last Thursday. His family said he may be heading towards Toronto.

Police are asking for help in locating a man who has been missing from his home near Smiths Falls, Ont., since last Thursday.

Morris Ladouceur, 58, left his home on Highway 15 in Montague Township on May 10 and has not been seen since.

Ladouceur is described as five-foot-eight-inches tall, 160 pounds, with brown eyes and short grey-brown hair. He was last seen wearing a brown Hawaiian button-up shirt, blue jeans, Hush-Puppy-style shoes and a black jacket with a logo and the letters "TDK" on the jacket.

Police said Ladouceur is known to hitchhike and carry a Bible.

His family said police have already received tips that suggest he may have been headed down Highway 401 towards Toronto.

Lanark County Ontario Provincial Police called off a ground search after Ladouceur was spotted south of the township on Thursday.
