Looking for seniors to sign up for pedal-powered meal-delivery service

Operation Come Home has started a new program where young people are preparing meals for seniors and delivering them to their door by electric bike.

"We're here to make delicious, fresh, seasonal meals that are very healthy," said Reem Buhaisi, program coordinator for the FoodWorks initiative.

"But at the same time, we're also here to employ youth who are at risk, who don't have the opportunity to gain employment."

The pedal-powered service will officially launch once enough seniors have signed up for the $8 meals, said Buhaisi.
