Woman dead, man injured in motorcycle crash near Calabogie, Ont.

Police have reopened Highway 511 east of Calabogie, Ont., after a fatal crash Sunday afternoon.

A woman is dead and a man has suffered major injuries in a motorcycle crash Sunday afternoon east of Calabogie, Ont.

Ontario Provincial Police officers were called to the single-vehicle collision, north of White Lake Road, shortly after 2 p.m.

Police say 54-year-old Joanne Ciphery of Renfrew was the passenger on the motorcycle. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man was driving the motorcycle and was airlifted to hospital in Ottawa, OPP said.

Highway 511 was closed following the crash, and re-opened just before 10 a.m. Monday.

The investigation continues.
