Earthquake shakes Maniwaki, Que., area

A minor earthquake shook parts of western Quebec near the town of Maniwaki Saturday afternoon.
The epicentre of the 4.3-magnitude quake was located roughly 160 kilometres north of Ottawa, near the Baskatong Reservoir, according to data from Natural Resources Canada.
It was recorded just after 3 p.m.
As of Sunday morning, more than 160 people had reported feeling the quake's effects.
Natural Resources Canada initially reported the earthquake's epicentre was northwest of the town, but revised its location — and declared it to be slightly stronger — at around 7 p.m.
A 4.3-magnitude quake is unlikely to cause damage, although nearby residents may experience some shaking. A smaller quake was also reported in that area in February.
