Kevin Page gave many candid interviews during his five-year tenure as Canada's parliamentary budget officer, often butting heads with the Conservative government that created his position.

Now, some of those memorable moments, both behind the scenes and in front of the camera, are captured in Page's new book Unaccountable: Truth and Lies on Parliament Hill.

Page will be reading from the book Sept. 30 at Centretown United Church as part of the Ottawa International Writers Festival.

First, however, he stopped by the All in a Day studios to chat with CBC's Alan Neal, who also happens to be hosting Wednesday night's event. Listen below.
