Parks Canada managing controlled burn in Thousand Islands
Parks Canada has set fire to the shores of an island in Thousand Islands in the St. Lawrence River to help save a rare type of pine tree.
It's an effort to restore the natural landscape on Camelot Island after years of fire suppression, which has upset the processes needed to support healthy forests.
