Isabel to bring heavy winds to Eastern Ontario
Weather forecasters based in Dartmouth, N.S., are calling for 30 to 50 mm of rain for southern Ontario and Quebec on Friday as the Canadian Hurricane Centre keeps a close eye on Hurricane Isabel.

Strong winds gusting from 60 to 80 km per hour are forecast for southern Quebec and Eastern Ontario. Gale-force winds are expected over Lake Ontario and Lake Erie.

Ontario residents are being warned to stock up on emergency supplies and prepare for the possibility of power outages.
Hydro-Québec has sent 25 teams of line workers to the Newark, New Jersey, area, to help out should Hurricane Isabel knock out power lines.
