Isabel to bring heavy winds to Eastern Ontario

Strong winds gusting from 60 to 80 km per hour are forecast for southern Quebec and Eastern Ontario. Gale-force winds are expected over Lake Ontario and Lake Erie.

Ontario residents are being warned to stock up on emergency supplies and prepare for the possibility of power outages.

Hydro-Québec has sent 25 teams of line workers to the Newark, New Jersey, area, to help out should Hurricane Isabel knock out power lines.
