Gatineau fire sends 2 to hospital
Fire broke out at home in Lac-Beauchamp district
A fire broke out in Gatineau's Lac-Beauchamp district Thursday afternoon, sending two people to hospital.
The fire, which is now under control, started before 4 p.m. at a home on rue la Madeleine.
Two people — a man and a woman — were found in cardiac arrest, according to paramedics.
Firefighters had the blaze under control at around 4:45 p.m. They estimate the total damage comes to around $54,000.
The cause of the fire is unknown, but police are investigating.
