Firefighters rescue man from west Ottawa apartment fire
Man, 69, suffered smoke inhalation and burns to his forehead
Firefighters rescued a 69-year-old man from a burning apartment in Ottawa's west end late Friday night.
At around 11:30 p.m., the city's fire department received a report of smoke coming from a third floor apartment on Ullswater Drive.
First responders treated the man for smoke inhalation and superficial burns to his forehead, said the Ottawa Paramedic Service.
He was taken to hospital where he was last reported to be in stable condition, said paramedics.
The fire is believed to have started in the apartment's bathroom, fire officials said.
No damage estimate has been released.
