Fire Marshal called after massive Findlay Creek blaze
Dozens temporarily homeless, 3 firefighters injured
Dozens of people are temporarily homeless after a large fire Sunday at an apartment complex in the Findlay Creek area.
It took more than three hours to bring the flames under control. Several units were destroyed, while the others suffered major smoke and water damage.
The initial damage estimate for the 12-unit apartment complex is $4.2 million.
The Office of the Fire Marshal has been called to the fire scene to investigate.
One firefighter was taken to hospital for chest pain and breathing problems and stayed overnight. Another two were treated at the scene — one for cuts to the face and another for high blood pressure.
