Esperanza Spalding, Steve Martin, headline Ottawa jazzfest
Grammy-winner Esperanza Spalding and jazz musicians Dave Holland and Chris Botti will be joined by veteran bluesmen John Mayall and Robert Cray and comedian-turned-bluegrass musician Steve Martin at this year's TD Ottawa Jazz Festival.
The 32nd-annual edition of the festival features a mix of traditional jazz players and bands and musicians from other genres playing a total of more than 120 concerts over the 11-day run from June 21-July 1.
Also scheduled to perform are Daryl Hall, formerly of 1980s band Hall & Oates, Ziggy Marley, Trombone Shorty and Branford Marsalis with Joey Calderazzo.
Brian Blade's Fellowship Band, who closed the festival three years ago, will be on the mainstage on June 22.
