Ottawa man drowns in Outaouais lake after likely falling out of boat

Gatineau police say a 77-year-old Ottawa man drowned after he likely fell between a dock and a boat on Lac des Trente et Un Milles in western Quebec Saturday afternoon.

Gatineau police say a 77-year-old Ottawa man drowned after he likely fell between a dock and a boat on an Outaouais lake Saturday afternoon.

The man's body was found in Lac des Trente et Un Milles, south of Manawaki, around 1 p.m. (Google)

Police say the man's family found his body in Lac des Trente et Un Milles, south of Maniwaki, Que., at around 1 p.m.

Officers say despite resuscitation attempts, the man, who was visiting his cabin, was pronounced dead.

Gatineau police are investigating but say the man's death is likely an accidental drowning.
