Fire destroys barn on Dozois Road in Ottawa's rural south end

Ottawa Fire Services is investigating a morning barn fire in the city's rural south end that resulted in close to $200,000 in damages.

No people or animals injured in Friday morning fire

Ottawa Fire Services is investigating a morning barn fire in the city's rural south end that resulted in close to $200,000 in damage.

Firefighters were called to Dozois Road around 9:55 Friday morning for a "fully involved barn fire."

They were able to get it under control within in an hour despite the hot temperatures, according to a news release.

They said the barn housed tools and excavation equipment but no animals.

No other buildings were damaged and there were no reported injuries.
