Gatineau apartment fire leaves man critically injured

A 25-year-old man was critically hurt during a fire in Gatineau's Hull neighbourhood late Sunday night.

Gatineau firefighters found him inside a multi-unit building on Rue Laval around 11:30 p.m., the department said.

He was suffering from smoke inhalation and serious burns and he was taken to hospital in critical condition.

Gatineau police are investigating the cause of the fire, which displaced six people.

No other details were immediately available.
