NatGeo Live! speaker series features photojournalist Jodi Cobb
Veteran National Geographic photographer presents Stranger in a Strange Land at the National Arts Centre
The NatGeo Live! speaker series returns to the National Arts Centre on March 3 with veteran National Geographic photographer Jodi Cobb. Cobb will present Stranger in a Strange Land, a look back on her four-decade career as a photojounalist.
CBC Ottawa is a proud media sponsor of the NatGeo Live! speaker series.
Cobb was one of the first photographers to travel across China when it reopened to the West and the first photographer to capture images of the hidden lives of women in Saudi Arabia. She has worked in more than 60 countries, primarily in the Middle East and Asia. Cobb is known for breaking down barriers and going undercover, including for her work chronicling the geisha culture in Japan.
Her presentation will highlight her path from young photojournalist to world-renowned photographer.
